About

Quartiers*Lointains was founded in 2013 by Claire Diao. The project is carried by people from many different backgrounds. From Pantin to New York, Lagos to Béjaïa, Ouagadougou to Chicago, Lyon to Mauritius, we meet the filmmakers of tomorrow, whether they are based in Europe or in Africa. For more than ten years, the travelling programme Quartiers Lointains has brought their work into the light, made the distant feel closer, and revealed what we share rather than what sets us apart.
